Mary Ann Zimmerman joined East Portland Pediatric Clinic in 1981. She graduated from Oregon Health & Science University School of Nursing in 1970. She received her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner education at Texas Women’s University in 1974.
Mary Ann has a special interest in breastfeeding medicine and sees our newborns after hospital discharge. Her patient and gentle approach is supplemented by personal experience which includes breastfeeding her adopted newborn and breastfeeding twins. In addition, Mary Ann performs some of our well baby check-ups. Mary Ann also works part-time for the David Douglas School District teaching puberty education to the girls and boys in elementary school.
Mary Ann and her husband, Craig, are the parents of three adult children. When not working, she loves to read and go to lunch with girlfriends.
