Flu Vaccine Clinics

Call now to schedule a time for your child's influenza vaccine. While we think the flu vaccine is a good idea for everybody, it is recommended for all children ages 6 months to 18 years. It is especially important for children ages 6 months to 5 years, or those with a chronic medical condition such as asthma, diabetes, heart defects, or cerebral palsy, among others, as these patients are at increased risk for developing complications of influenza

If you have a child younger than 6 months of age, please be sure to help protect them by getting immunized yourself. Get more information here about protecting your infant.

We have available the standard flu shot, the preservative-free flu shot for children less than age 3 years, and the nasal spray flu vaccine (Flu Mist). We recommend the Flu Mist for all patients unless they have a contraindication as it provides better and longer lasting protection against influenza than the shot. For those patients who should not receive the Flu Mist (under age 2 years, history of asthma, other chronic medical conditions) we recommend the shot. When you come for your flu vaccine appointment we will help determine which vaccine is best for your child.
